Characteristics
Metroark 21 Defoamer is a water-dilutable silicone emulsion containing silicone 30% active defoamer. It is formulated with carefully selected ingredients, which, at the prescribed level, are suitable for use in food. 21 Defoamer has excellent emulsion stability. Even diluted emulsions need only an occasional stirring to remain dispersed.

How to Use

In most systems only 2 to 50 gms per metric ton of foamer are required. Working concentration may be determined by adding 30 gms 21 Defoamer (as supplied) per metric ton of foamer. The results obtained at this concentration will indicate whether to increase or decrease the amount.

Metroark 21 Defoamer disperses easily in most cool aqueous systems and may be added directly to the foamers in any concentration, with agitation to disperse thoroughly.
 
However, for hot systems and maximum uniformity in cold systems, use of prediluted 21 Defoamer is recommended.
 

Dilution Procedure

Shake or roll containers of 21 Defoamer or stir before removing it from containers. 

Required quantity of 21 Defoamer may be diluted with 10 volumes of cool water by slowly adding water to the Defoamer with continual stirring. 

For maximum efficiency the diluted defoamer should be used with eight hours after dilution. Diluted defoamer should be stirred frequently for use after long periods. 

While using 21 Defoamer in textiles finishes and dyes, add the diluted defoamer after all other ingredients have been mixed.

For maximum efficiency, Metroark 21 Defoamer should be used within 6 months from the date of manufacturing.
